Real Sex or Reel Sex?

Have you ever watched two (maybe three or four) actors having sex on film? I have... A LOT. Sometimes it's hard to tell if what you're watching is actually two people having sex, or just actors going through the motions. There's a fine line between simulated and unsimulated sex, so I'm going to present to you some scenes from mainstream and not-so-mainstream movies, and I will leave it to you to decide... SEX / NO SEX?

Jane March in "The Lover"

There is a movie called The Lover, and in this movie there's an actress called Jane March. Jane is very very very sexy, and in this movie she gets all kinds of naked. There are also several sex scenes in this movie, the most notable being this one, where there is significant evidence of Jane having real sex with this lucky douche. So what's the deal? Was this guy marching all over Jane, or is it all pretend? Tough call... SEX/NO SEX?

This guy votes: NO SEX

  1. I think there is sex, but Jane March had a body double in places, and the body double was having sex with someone.

  2. haha
The usual rule is if you don't see the body and face in the same shot, there is a good chance it is a double .
In the controversial scene, she is back.
Along the film, she was doubled by softcore actress Cecile Fleury and three other actresses: Do Thi Hoang Thuy, Tania Boudichenko, and Nguyen Thi Hong Nga.
Jane was a minor then, maybe that was the reason that it wasn't she.

    1. You're an idiot. If this was true then the movie would have been banned in most countries considering she was a minor when the movie was filmed.

  4. I guarantee that is not a body double. A body double was not used in this movie, period. Unlike today when every other actress thinks they've got somethign that no one else has!

  5. No sex. No body double either. See link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101316/trivia

In fact I viewed a making documentary long time ago, that the actor Tony Leung (Ms. March's "lover") had his wife presented in the set during the shooting of the sex scenes for the purpose of proofing no infidelity was committed.

  6. Actually, there were body doubles. Not just for Ms. March, but also for the male actor.

  7. There is no sex here. I asked the question straightly to the director of the movie when I met him once at work.
